Dr Nicholas Downes qualified from Sheffield Dental School with Honours in 2005 and holds a Master’s in Endodontics (Warwick 2014). He has been an Educational Supervisor at Bloxdent Smiles since 2016 and has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education. Nick accepts referrals for all aspects of endodontics, including re-treatments and post removals and regularly lectures on Deanery Endodontic training days.

Mey graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2020 with Honours and a Distinction in Clinical Dentistry and has been part of the Bloxdent Smiles team ever since.

Alongside her clinical work, Mey supports early-career colleagues and is a trainer for Foundation Dentists and Dental Therapists within the Oxfordshire Deanery.

Shivani graduated from Kings College London, with honours, in 2023 with. She joined Bloxdent Smiles, completed her foundation training year and works as a full-time dentist at our Bloxham practice. She particularly enjoys the area of paediatric dentistry and oral surgery. In her free time, she plays badminton and spends lots of time with her three French bull dogs.

Parth qualified from King’s College London and joined Bloxdent Smiles in 2024. He is undertaking a postgraduate course in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, where he is developing advanced skills in smile design, complex restorative treatments and Invisalign.

He provides comfortable, compassionate, and high-quality dental treatment. Whether it’s a routine check-up or a more complex procedure, he aims to ensure every patient feels listened to, understood, and supported throughout their experience.

Fathema graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2013 and gained her MFDS in 2014.

She is passionate about cosmetic and restorative dentistry, where she has pursued extensive postgraduate training, including Invisalign. Fathema has also trained at the renowned Dr BK Training Institute, offering anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers with a holistic approach to facial rejuvenation.

She combines her artistic eye with a dedication to delivering personalised, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Sahra provides oral surgery and dental implant services at Bloxdent Smiles. Sahra graduated from King’s College London, is accredited as an advanced practitioner of oral surgery and holds a master’s degree in dental Implantology from the University of Bristol. Sahra is trained in intravenous sedation and clinical hypnotherapy techniques. She teaches postgraduate dental students and has been involved in medical volunteering both in the UK and abroad.

Josh is a compassionate dentist committed to quality care, helping patients through their journey with a positive attitude and support, understanding that everyone’s journey is not the same. He has a particular focus on making dental visits comfortable and stress-free for all patients, helping patients to achieve better health and confidence in their smile.

Tendai qualified from the universities of Aberdeen and Dundee in 2013. With extensive clinical experience, she is dedicated to a holistic approach, combining cutting-edge digital dentistry with an artistic eye to deliver high-quality care tailored to each individual.

Specialising in minimally invasive smile transformations, focusing on Invisalign and composite bonding, Tendai additionally offers facial aesthetics, looking at the bigger picture to ensure every patient feels heard, comfortable, and walks out with a radiant, healthy smile.

Having qualified as Dental Hygiene Therapist, Kate now works solely as a hygienist, as she finds helping patients with a holistic approach to their oral hygiene through both hands-on scaling and demonstrating best oral care practice to be most rewarding.

Outside of dentistry, Kate enjoys walking her three dogs, hiking and running in the great outdoors. She also loves reading and crafting; her current passion is pottery.

Kelly started at Bloxdent Smiles as a student Dental Nurse in 2009. She then went on to complete her qualification in Dental Hygiene and Therapy at the University of Liverpool in 2014. Kelly rejoined the team in 2017, is a Mum to two young children and works part time at our Bloxham practice.

Sarah graduated as Dental Hygiene Therapist in 2017 from the university of Birmingham and joined us to complete her Foundation training year. She has worked in a few Oxfordshire based practices as well as at Bloxdent Smiles since then. As a new Mum she will be returning to work part time at our Bloxham practice soon.

Rozalia started her career as a dental nurse in 2012, working across community, private and NHS practice settings. Driven by a passion to develop, Rozalia pursued a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene & Therapy at the University of Portsmouth in 2023, becoming proficient in both dental hygiene and dental therapist procedures. Rozalia’s extensive expertise has uniquely prepared her to offer compassionate care to patients who may experience anxiety or be new to the dental environment.
